Des Neill

Before retiring Des was a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, employed since the early eighties in the health service in NI in Health Estates.

He retired as Director of Estates Policy, responsible for advising the Minister and the NHS in NI on matters relating to all aspects of standards and safety, property development, land transactions, capital procurement and contract and the development of policy in relations to the maintenance and development of the health estate in NI. Formerly he worked on and project managed major capital projects in the health service across the province. Before leaving private practice and joining the health service, he worked on major capital projects in the public sector in the Finance Department.

Des is the vice chair of the Northern Ireland Amenity Council responsible for the Best Kept Awards in NI for Towns& villages, schools and health care facilities across the province.
