FOLD Housing Association is pleased to invite Margaret Ritchie, MLA, Minister for Social Development to officiate at the ‘sod cutting’ ceremony at FOLD’s latest social housing development at Roden Street Phase 2, Belfast.
This phase will bring another 43 homes, to this area, commencing the regeneration of the Greater Village area. By working closely with the local community, Northern Ireland Housing Executive and FOLD have been able to develop this waste land whilst improving living conditions and encouraging community regeneration.
The scheme aims to build on the regeneration works already undertaken in the area by FOLD, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the Greater Village Regeneration Trust.
Roden Street phase 2 has been designed to provide a range of family housing solutions, whilst meeting Lifetime Homes, Secure by Design and Eco Homes \'Very Good\' Standards.
Mr Cameron, Chairman of Fold Housing Association, "Fold is proud to be working alongside the NIHE and the GVRT in the regeneration of the Greater Village Area of Belfast. This phase will provide housing for 200 people within this area. Fold remains committed to providing quality and affordable housing, which supports the local community."
The scheme will be completed in Autumn 2010 by FOLD’s contractor Braidwater Ltd and was designed by Mc Adam Design, Belfast.
