Fold Housing Association today welcomed the Minister for Social Development, Alex Attwood MLA, to officially open their new housing development at Clonard Gardens, West Belfast. The development at a cost of £1.4 will provide 11 much needed new social housing homes in the area.
The development is a mix of one and two bedroom apartments and will provide accommodation for families, single and older people in the area.
Speaking at the launch Fold Chairman, William Cameron said:
"I am pleased on behalf of Fold to welcome the Minister to officially open our new housing development. We in Fold are committed to providing quality affordable housing, of which this is an example. This is one of a number of general housing developments we now have in West Belfast.
There is a great need for social housing in West Belfast and we in Fold will continue to work with the NIHE and local residents to provide this.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish our new tenants all the best in their new homes."
One of the new residents commented:
"I am delighted with my new home. It is very modern and finished to a very high standard. I would like to thank the staff in Fold have been very helpful during the move to my new home."
