Vanessa Elder Fundraising Manager, “NICHS is delighted to have Fold on board as one of our supporters for 2011-2013. It is great to share such synergy with a corporate partner, especially as Fold and NICHS share similar visions for the future. I look forward to working with the Fold team on many successful fundraising initiatives, and I know that this partnership will definitely help our aim to prevent these illnesses, alleviate suffering and help those in Northern Ireland move towards a healthier future.
John McLean, Chief Executive confirmed ‘The staff, tenants, residents and friends of Fold have a terrific record in helping charities both in Northern Ireland and overseas. Both in terms of time and money, we outperform ourselves year on year and these efforts are making a real difference to people’s lives. We are very pleased to be supporting NICHS, given that stroke and heart disease affect so many people in Northern Ireland’.
Fold staff and residents participate in many fundraising activities throughout the year. With the help of families, friends and local businesses, Fold managed to raise over £20,000 for its previous nominated charity – the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. The association supports additional charities and also raises funds for the welfare of residents in it’s housing-with-care schemes.
