Hamilton Fold in Ballynahinch not only raised £1,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support, but held Fold's ˜World's Largest Coffee Morning.'
Residents, friends and staff at Hamilton Fold came together to host a coffee and soup morning, Scheme Coordinator, Mildred Kelly from Hamilton Fold said, It was great to see our tenants and the local community come together and have some fun while raising money for Macmillan. The day was a huge success and I would just like to thank our tenants, their family and friends for supporting us.
Hamilton Fold was one of over 60 sheltered schemes and offices that helped raise £23,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support during their ˜World's Largest Coffee Morning. Macmillan's Corporate Fundraising Manager Claire Brown said,''I am truly amazed by the generosity and support that Hamilton Fold has given to Macmillan. They have undoubtedly worked so hard to make their coffee morning a success. It is thanks to people like this that we can continue to provide support to cancer patients and their families in the local area.''
Eileen Patterson, Director of Housing at Fold added, â€œI set the challenge to all of Fold's residents to hold the largest coffee morning for Macmillan and Mildred and her residents are testament to how Fold rose to the challenge. I would like to thank everyone at Hamilton Fold and in Ballynahinch for kindly giving so much to this worthy cause.
