Now Recruiting: Board Members

We are now seeking to appoint additional Board members to broaden the skills base and to meet the needs of a new and evolving Committee structure. Consequently, the organisation invites applications from potential candidates with a commitment to the values and work of housing associations, and with skills in related disciplines including (but not restricted to):


  • Property development
  • Development finance
  • Property services
  • Housing management
  • Risk management
  • Business growth


Board members have a vital role to play in the provision of good governance, setting of direction and policy, and oversight of the Senior Management Team. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experience and expertise across a range of core competences, including:


  • Strategic planning and implementation
  • Providing scrutiny, challenge and support to continuously improve performance
  • Exercising sound judgement in relation to operational, financial and reputational risks
  • Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships


Board members are not currently remunerated but this voluntary status is under review by the Department for Social Development. Members are reimbursed for appropriate expenses. Successful candidates will be expected to attend c.1 Board/Committee meeting per month in Belfast.
