Independent Living Away Day

Last week, we hosted our Independent Living Away Day, bringing together Scheme Coordinators and Floating Support Staff from across Radius for a day of learning, connection, and reflection.

The agenda was designed to recognise the vital role our staff play in the lives of tenants, while also providing opportunities to share experiences and strengthen knowledge. Sessions covered a wide range of themes including dementia, fire safety, and resilience in the workplace. 

We were especially honoured to welcome Siobhan Casey, Older People’s Commissioner, as our guest speaker. Siobhan delivered an inspiring talk on ageing and later life, offering thought-provoking insights that will influence how we continue to shape the support we provide for older people. 

Our Scheme Coordinators and Floating Support staff are at the heart of Independent Living at Radius. Beyond practical support, they bring reassurance, care, and a strong sense of community to our tenants  making a real difference every day.

The Away Day was a chance to pause, reflect, and re-energise. The energy, learning, and ideas shared will help us build on the strong foundations already in place and continue to strengthen the support we provide for tenants across Radius.
