We’re delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Radius Community Awards, which celebrate the fantastic efforts of tenants, residents and communities who help make our neighbourhoods greener, brighter and wonderful places to live.
Following the positive feedback of our Tenant Engagement Road Shows, the Tenant Engagement team decided to shake things up by going on the road over the summer with the Radius Community Awards.
Each scheme that submitted a nomination received a visit from either a member of staff, Radius Board or a Tenant Executive Committee member who acknowledged the fantastic contributions made by tenants and residents living within Radius communities.
Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of Diane Donaghy, who sadly passed away shortly after being awarded the winner of this year's Good Neighbour award. We were honoured to welcome her family to Scrabo Fold to celebrate her life and accept the award on her behalf.
2026 Community Awards Results
At a celebration at Donard Fold, Director of Communities Loma Wilson presented Alice Gibson as the winner of Best Kept Garden, with entertainment provided by Mourne Chamber Choir and a string quartet, prompting one resident to comment "In all my life I have never heard a string quartet before. You were absolutely amazing! You have converted me!"
Following her visit to Kingsway Fold, Dunmurry, Acting Director of Corporate Services Martina Rooney commented: "From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Kingsway Fold is a happy and uplifting community, and that this reflects the energy and care that Rita and Diane bring to the scheme. The residents, (and staff), are truly at the heart of what makes the environment so positive and supportive."
Thank you to everyone who entered and helped make this year’s awards such a success, and to the staff who hosted such fantastic events for our tenants and residents to enjoy. We hope the awards inspire even more people to get involved, share ideas and take pride in where they live.
