Homely invite to NI Hospice Carol Service

Radius Housing is delighted to sponsor the annual Northern Ireland Hospice Christmas Carol Service at St Anne’s Cathedral, Donegall Street, Belfast, on Sunday 10th December at 3.30pm.

The Carol Service is a cross community celebration for the festive season which is set to lift the spirit of young and old alike with music, song and readings. The event is free and no tickets are required.   NI Hospice will make a collection during the service and all proceeds will support the work of NI Hospice.  Everyone is welcome including Radius tenants, residents, clients, staff, family and friends to what promises to be a joyful afternoon.

Special guests include Paul Clark, UTV, Cavehill Community Choir and Downshire Brass. Fiona McAnespie, Director of Care & Support, Radius Housing will deliver a reading. She said, “We are delighted to be involved with NI Hospice Christmas Carol Service.   The community event gives many of our tenants, residents and clients and members of the public, the opportunity to come together and celebrate the festive season by candlelight in the beautiful surroundings of St Anne’s Cathedral as well as boosting our fundraising efforts for the amazing work NI Hospice carry out 365 days a year.

She added, “Radius staff nominated NI Hospice as its corporate charity partner for the next two years.   During this time, we have committed to raising vital funds for the charity as well as increasing awareness of their work they do.  To date, tenants and staff have signed up to many fundraising events including the Big Coffee Break, Loop the Lough, Big Lunches and the forthcoming Santa Dash 5K in aid of NI Hospice which has raised over £6k for the local charity.”
