House Warming Gift for Macmillan

25 Nov 2014

Fold employees nominate and vote for the organisation''s corporate charity partner. For the past two years we have been working with Macmillan Cancer Support and we have raised over £65,000. Both staff and residents support for Macmillan has been tremendous and has included baking, walking, charity head shaves, abseiling, ice bucket challenges, car boot sales and market stalls all in aid of the charity.

One of the fundraising activities we''ve enjoyed most, has been getting involved with the Macmillan World''s Biggest Coffee Morning. This year over 100 schemes and teams across different offices took part  in the coffee morning which saw a frenzy of baking and generous donations of goodies all for a great cause.

Gillian Somerville, Director of HR &Corporate Services explains, ''We are proud to support Macmillan, our corporate charity, and take part in the World''s Biggest Coffee Morning on 26 September. Our service users and staff have been unanimous in their support for the charity over the past two years. Over 100 of our housing schemes across Northern Ireland from Bushmills to Banbridge and Lisnaskea to Lisburn are took part. The coffee morning was a great way for our tenants and staff to get together with the extra benefit of raising much needed funds for Macmillan who are supporting people with cancer.
