Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association Tour visits Radius

Radius Housing had the pleasure of hosting a group of senior staff from various Canadian social housing providers as part of their study tour to Ireland organised by the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association. The study tour focused on housing within Dublin and Belfast.

Eileen Patterson, Director of Communities, Radius Housing said “We were delighted when they contacted Radius and asked if we could showcase the work we are doing to develop and sustain sustainable communities in Northern Ireland.”

The event was opened by Diana Fitzsimons, Chair, Radius Housing, who welcomed the delegates to Northern Ireland. Eileen Patterson, Director of Communities then gave a presentation on the main challenges facing social housing providers and what Radius are doing to meet those challenges. Other speakers at the event included Professor Paddy Gray, Ben Collins Chief Executive, NIFHA and Colm McDaid Chief Executive, Supporting Communities. The event was concluded by Grainne Mullin, Area Housing Manager, Radius who detailed the work that Radius is doing to engage with tenants and invest in local communities.

The Canadian delegates were extremely impressed with their visit to Belfast and to Radius Housing and commented on our wonderful Northern Irish hospitality.
