Profile of Older People in Northern Ireland
The Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) today published ''''A profile of older people in Northern Ireland “ 2014 update''''
In 2009 OFMDFM brought together a selection of high level statistics on older people from various published sources. This was undertaken to assist in the monitoring of change in the position and circumstances of older people over time and to act as a useful reference point for stakeholders.
A follow-up report was produced in November 2013, providing updated figures for most of the 2009 baseline report indicators. This report, the third in the series, provides a further update. Information includes details on rates of income, illness, mobility and poverty.
