Review Highlights More than Bricks and Mortar

Fold Housing Association, the largest social enterprise in Northern Ireland has published their annual review which highlights an asset value of over £400m and an organisation well positioned to meet the joint aspirations of Transforming Your Care and the new Housing Strategy.

Diana Fitzsimons, Chair, said, 'Fold's 30,000 customers remain at the heart of everything we do. Our continued development of new community based support services means residents and tenants are benefiting from a host of collaborative public and private partnerships delivering quality, innovation and great value helping us realise our vision of sustainable communities  where tenants and residents and live safely and support in all that they do.
She added, 'We continued to soundly manage our finances, raising our surplus to 14% and our asset value to over £400m.   Fold is expected to exceed the £40m turnover mark in 2014/15 for the first time, making it the largest social enterprise in Northern Ireland.'

In addition, Fold Group announced their 2 year corporate charity partnership with Alzheimer's Society. Andy Boal, Community Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society in North & East Northern Ireland said, 'We are extremely grateful to Fold employees for nominating the Alzheimer's Society as their charity partner.As a charity, we rely on the generosity of organisations like Fold to help us support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow.

He added, 'As well as raising funds, the relationship will is fantastic opportunity to raise awareness amongst staff, tenants and service users of the work Alzheimer's Society throughout Northern Ireland. There are 20,000 people in Northern Ireland living with dementia. Through care, services, information, research and campaigning, Alzheimer's Society aims to make the world a better place for these people and their carers.'
