Staying safe and warm during severe weather:

- Keep a good stock of basic food items in case of emergency.

- When going outdoors, always ensure you wrap up well - we lose most of our body heat through our heads so wear a hat.

- Do not make any unnecessary journeys.

Make yourself an emergency pack containing:

- Torches                    

- Battery operated radio                

- Long life food and drinks

- Baby and pet food

- Blanket

- Dry clothes

- Medication
