Communal Garden Community Chest 2022-23

Neillsbrook Fold Tenants Association, who are based in Neillsbrook Fold an independent living scheme for tenants who are over 55 and live independently, applied for a Community Chest grant for £749 to purchase a greenhouse for the communal garden.  

This funding enabled the group to purchase a greenhouse and partner with Randal Community Shed who volunteered their time to erect the Greenhouse. 

This project met the following outcome supporting an empowerment project and targeting health and wellbeing outcomes to vulnerable groups or individuals. 

The tenants now spend quality time together in the garden growing their own fruit and vegetables and cultivating new plants.
